Aug 2015 – June 2016: Master’s thesis. Department of Marine Sciences of the University of Gothenburg together with the Bioinformatics group. “Analysis of de novo sequenced data from Debaryomyces strains”. Tutor: Anders Blomberg. Bioinformatic supervisors: Tomas Larsson and Magnus Alm Rosenblad. Analysis of the genomic sequences of 19 strains, from raw reads to the assemblies. Alignment, species identification, contamination check, variant calling, annotation and phylogenic study of the populations.

Tutor: Pilar Herrero Solans. “Factores que determinan la aparición de neuronas leucokinérgicas en el ganglio abdominal en el adulto de Drosophila melanogaster” (“Factors determining the appearance of abdominal leucokinergic neurons in the adult Drosophila melanogaster”) ~600 hours spent in the lab. Techniques: maintenance of the animals, immunohistochemistry, tissue dissection, use of Confocal Microscopy and computerized data analysis.
